The best Bosnian tennis player, Damir Dzumhur, was disqualified from the qualifications of the ATP tournament in Acapulco, Mexico, after a meltdown and an argument with the chair umpire in the finish of the first set.
Dzumhur did not act on a suspicious ball by Botica Van De Zandschulp, thinking it would be an out, but instead a point was awarded to the Dutchman, who then took the lead over the Bosnian with 6: 5 in the first set.
Then, in the 12th game of the first set, Dzumhur got into an argument with the umpire, and some foreign media report that he also threatened him.
In the 12th game, Dzumhur received a public warning, after which he threw the racket and approached the referee in his chair again.
Organizers then said Dzumhur was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct.
