Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in January this year amounted to 1.17 billion Bosnian marks (some €511 million), which is 16.6 percent less, while imports amounted to 1.906 billion marks (around €1 billion), which is 3.2 percent more, than in January last year.
The imports-exports coverage amounted to 61.4 percent, while the foreign trade deficit was 736 million marks (around €376 million), according to the BiH Statistics Agency.
Exports to CEFTA countries in January amounted to 176 million marks (some €90 million), which is 37.3 percent less, while imports amounted to 199 million marks (around €101 million), which is two percent more than in January 2023. The imports-exports coverage with CEFTA countries was 88.5 percent.
Exports to EU countries amounted to 897 million marks (around €458 million), which is 12 percent less, while imports were 1.138 billion marks (some €581 million), which is 4.9 percent more than in January last year. The imports-exports coverage with EU countries was 78.8 percent.
