The founding assembly of Bosnia’s Federation entity Cycling Association (BS FBiH) was held on Monday, in the premises of the BiH Olympic Committee in Sarajevo, and the Association was founded by 15 clubs from the FBiH.
This date will be remembered not only for the founding of the FBiH Cycling Association, but as a kind of turning point in cycling for all BiH cyclists, the strengthening of cycling as a sport, and the laying of solid foundations for the umbrella institution in cycling.
What follows is the registration of the Association in the register of associations at the FBiH Ministry of Justice, which will make its establishment official, the Mostar Cycling Club said.
The seat of the FBiH Cycling Association will be in Mostar, and the 15 founding clubs unanimously elected Emir Vucijak as the President of the Association, Biljana Krtalic as the Secretary-General, while Blazenka Kustura, Vedad Karic, Tarik Imamagic, Dejan Slavuljica, Amar Njemcevic and Toni Zoric were elected as members of the Governing Board.
Due to the great interest in cycling in the FBiH area, they expect that Association will soon have 40 to 50 member clubs, which again speaks to how developed cycling as a sport is in the FBiH and the need for the establishment of an umbrella institution for cycling at that level.
the newly elected Association members said that membership is free and they invited all clubs from the FBiH to join the Association so they can create a strong institution that will work on the development of sports and cycling.
