Bosnia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Bisera Turkovic, strongly condemned the Russian military operation in Ukraine, adding that BiH “remembers very well how evil can a war can be.”
“Shocking scenes from Ukraine. Bosnia and Herzegovina remembers very well how evil a war can be. We are strongly condemning the attack on the sovereign nation of Ukraine. We urge for an immediate cease-fire and show solidarity with the citizens of Ukraine,” Turkovic wrote on Twitter.

Bosnia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry issued a statement saying that it has formed a Crisis Staff that monitors the situation in order to undertake activities related to assisting BiH citizens who are on the territory of Ukraine.
According to currently available information, no BiH citizens are directly endangered at this moment.
