"Today my heart carries a sadness that is difficult to put into words. Our Tima Dzebo is gone - my dear friend, comrade on the court and friend outside of sports.

Tima was not only a top basketball player, but also a woman with a huge heart – always smiling, ready to help, to encourage, to hug when life gets tough. We played together, fought side by side for the national team, for our country. But what connected us was more than sports - it was true friendship, sincere, deep and lasting," Mujanovic wrote.

She then recalled of a special moment of her career.

"When I had to accept the award for entering the FIBA Hall of Fame, there was no doubt who would be my companion and support on the way. The best jump-shot of the former Yugoslavia. We have so many memories - beautiful and not so beautiful - we have so many trophies and victories that have gone down in history. No one can take that away from us. Her smile, spirit and energy remain with me, with all of us who had the honor of knowing her," said Mujanovic.

Tima Džebo, née Imširević (born October 24, 1963 in Olovo), is a former Yugoslav and Bosnian-Herzegovinian basketball player.

She represented Yugoslavia and won a silver medal at the 1990 Women's World Championships in Malaysia, and later won a gold medal representing Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 1993 Mediterranean Games.
