The Speaker of Bosnia’s House of Representatives, Denis Zvizdic, spoke about the political, economic and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in New York and, according to a press release, they reiterated that the architecture of the Western Balkans is complete and that BiH is moving in the direction of Euro-Atlantic integration.
Zvizdic told Guterres that a new and more progressive Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been formed and that it is prepared to work on the realization of key foreign policy goals, namely the EU and NATO integration, strengthening the rule of law and improving the economic situation.
He stressed the importance of extending the EUFOR mission in BiH and said that, as long as there are the intentions of some domestic politicians who want divisions or promote secessionist ideas, the EUFOR mission will play an important role in the country.
Guterres said during the conversation that the UN follows and strongly supports the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an integral, sovereign and politically independent state.
