Bosnia’s Federation entity Ministry of Labor and Social Policy said that March 1st will be a non-working day according to the Law on the Proclamation of March 1 as Bosnia and Herzegovina's Independence Day and a national holiday.
Accordingly, March 1 – the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina is celebrated only one day, on the day of the holiday itself.
Bearing this in mind, the FBiH Labor Ministry informs the public that Wednesday, March 1, 2023, is a non-working day.
The holiday itself is celebrated only in one part of the country, because the Republika Srpska (RS) entity authorities do not recognize March 1st as a holiday and instead they celebrate the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, November 21 as a national holiday. That date is only marked in the RS.
