Bosnia's Kristo says Italy and Austria continue supporting BiH's EU path

Bosnia’s prime minister Borjana Kristo, spoke on Friday with the Minister for Europe and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy, Antonio Tajani, in Sarajevo, about the country’s European path.

Kristo expressed her gratitude and satisfaction with the ministers’ visit from the countries she called friendly that provide continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European journey.

She emphasized BiH's readiness to strengthen the institutional, economic, defence, security and cultural ties with Austria and Italy, which would bring Bosnia closer to the European family of nations.

The Council of Ministers Chair informed the ministers about the current political situation in the country, especially concerning the government formation process at all levels, and expressed her belief that this process will be completed soon, in order to focus on reform processes related to European integration.

She emphasized that the Council of Ministers’ priorities are the fulfilment of 14 European conditions in connection with the further integration progress of BiH.
