Bosnia's Lejla Njemcevic takes first place on world UCI marathon ranking list

Lejla took first place on the UCI ranking list for the second time in her career, after finishing the season last year as the best-ranked marathon competitor in the world. The placement on the world ranking list is especially important before the first World Cup in the new season, considering that the starting position in the race is determined by the UCI ranking of competitors.

Last week, Lejla won her 18th national champion title, and the next competition for the Bosnian competitor is the World Cup in Novi Mesto, Czech Republic, which is considered one of the most important cycling events of the season.
