The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the oldest museum and scientific institution in the country, is celebrating its 136th anniversary on Thursday.
On this occasion, visitors can expect lots of interesting content, along with permanent exhibitions. Also, the Sarajevo Haggadah will be exhibited in three sessions.
In addition, the National Museum’s Gazette was presented at noon, Thursday.
The entrance is open tonight until 10 pm and it is free for all visitors.
The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded on February 1, 1888, and it is the oldest modern cultural and scientific institution in Bosnia.
It deals with museological, scientific, educational and publishing activities, which also determine its organizational structure. It consists of four main departments: the Department of Archaeology, the Department of Ethnology, the Department of Natural Sciences and the Library.
