Head of the BiH Football Association (FS BiH) Vico Zeljkovic, talked about the introduction of the Video assistant referee (VAR) technology in the BiH Premier League with Gianni Infantino, president of the World Football Association (FIFA) in Switzerland, the FS BiH announced Tuesday.

“The VAR is a challenge that everything is aimed at. And in this regard, we'll have the full support of FIFA. I will remind you of the statement of FIFA President Infantino who said that ‘the VAR doesn't change football, the VAR cleans football’. This is a complex job and we are determined to carry it out to the end in order to improve the refereeing and reduce the referees’ mistakes to a minimum,” said Zeljkovic, adding that: “we will start the realization of this extensive project this summer, and we expect that from the 2022/2023 season the FS BiH will be ready for the introduction of the VAR system,” Anadolu Agency reported.

A UEFA Congress is underway in Switzerland, attended by the leaders of all 55 national associations of members of this continental organization.
