Inspectors from the territory of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity imposed fines in the amount of 32,000 Bosnian marks (some €16,000) over the past seven days due to non-compliance with preventive measures for the protection against the epidemic in the community and work environments, Anadolu Agency reported Monday.

It is stated that having in mind the difficult epidemiological situation, the competent control bodies continue with intensive controls in accordance with the Conclusion of the RS Emergency Situations Headquarters and the recommendations of the RS Institute of Public Health.

“As part of the implementation of these measures, 54,159 inspections have been carried out so far, in which fines in the amount of 1,087,200 Bosnian marks (some €540,000) have been imposed, while a measure of temporary work ban has been imposed on 71 facilities,” RS Inspection Authority said.

They appealed to all BiH citizens to respect the pandemic measures and to personally show responsibility by using protective gear and maintaining a physical distance.
