Bosnia's RS entity prepared coronavirus inoculation plan

Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) entity Public Health Institute said the vaccine against the coronavirus will be first given to health workers working with Covid-19 patients at the secondary level.

Epidemiologist Jela Acimovic stated that priority groups are health workers, employees and beneficiaries of nursing homes in that entity.

After them, she added, the priority will be given to people with chronic diseases that are the basis for a more severe form of coronavirus infection.

"It's recommended that all citizens should be vaccinated, regardless of whether they had the coronavirus or not, because it is not known how long antibodies remain in our bodies, and because were cases of reinfection," said Acimovic.

The director of the RS Public Health Institute Branislav Zeljkovic, said that talks were underway on the procurement of vaccines from Russia and that in that they will order between 200,000, to 400,000 doses.
