As a member of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union, Bosnia and Herzegovina is prepared to send help to Turkey after the devastating earthquake as soon as possible and BiH’s Security Minister, Nenad Nesic, announced an initiative to send a team of up to 50 people from the of civil protection agencies in the country.
The team will be composed of members of civil protection agencies in Bosnia’s two semi-autonomous entities, the Federation (FBiH) and Republika Srpska (RS), as well as from the Brcko District.
“As a human being and as the Minister of Security of BiH, I send my sincere condolences to the President of Turkey and its citizens regarding this suffering. I am also sending a message that Bosnia and Herzegovina will provide the maximum possible assistance in fixing the damage caused by this truly severe natural disaster so that the citizens of the threatened areas of Turkey can return to normal life as soon as possible,” Nesic said.
He expressed his condolences to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Sulejman Soylu, and to the families and people of the Republic of Turkey.
