The parliament of Bosnia's Serb-majority entity Republika Srpska adopted law amendments on Wednesday, stipulating that no decision made by the international community's High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be published in the entity Official Gazette.
The law changes got support of 54 out of 62 MPs, which means they won the necessary two-thirds majority.
The amendments to law that regulates the work of the Official Gazette removed the article that mentions the High Representative, and the changes to the legislation got support of 54 out of 62 MPs that were in the session.
RS National Assembly speaker Nenad Stevandic said during the discussion that the latest high Representative “failed” at the appointment before the UN Security Council, therefore the entity parliament passed decisions on not recognising the international peace envoy.
“Is it then normal that his decisions are published in the Official Gazette based on the valid laws in Republika Srpska? Of course it is not,” he said.
