Bosnia's Serb entity parliament adopts controversial Criminal Code changes

The draft changes were adopted with 49 votes in favour, while 21 opposed it.

The opposition SDS party asked that the defamation and insult are excluded from the Criminal Code and returned to the civil litigation, and that amendments are adopted to the Law on Protection from Defamation.

Representatives of foreign association and embassies as well as associations of journalists and the opposition still demand that the law changes are revoked.
