The session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly was interrupted Thursday due to the lack of quorum since representatives from the Republika Srpska (RS) entity and the parties gathered around the Croat National Assembly (HNS) led by Dragan Covic’s Croat Democratic Union (HDZ BiH) did not appear in the session hall even after Chairman Denis Zvizdic announced a break.
After trying to hold the session, Chairman Denis Zvizdic addressed the press.
“We didn’t have a quorum for the emergency session, I am sincerely surprised by the decision of the HDZ BiH to boycott the session with such an important agenda, including the budget, grant agreements, very important projects for local communities. I consider this a targeted deliberate boycott of the session that is against the rules of procedure,” Zvizdic said.
Serb Democratic Party (SDS) leader Mirko Sarovic did not say specifically why they did not show up, but said that they would “be seen”.
“The goal of our caucus, primarily the member of SDS /PDP/DNS, is to bear responsibility and to be responsible. In any case, to contribute and vote for some key points concerning life issues, improvement of standards and support of BiH, but to be against decisions that are contrary to the interests of our policy pursued by the RS,” said Sarovic earlier.
