The Bulgarian Government donated 50,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Bosnia on Thursday, with the contribution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria, as a sign of solidarity with BiH's efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Bulgarian Embassy in BiH said this was further evidence of the existing friendly relations between the two countries.

“Bulgaria continues to firmly support BiH’s European and Euro-Atlantic path, remaining committed to intensifying political dialogue, trade, economic, cultural, tourism and military cooperation, and creating another opportunity to meet the two peoples, historically linked for centuries,” officials said during the donation handed over at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.
