Bulgaria is ready to continue participating in the military mission in BiH even in the event of a veto on the EUFOR mission, whose mandate, if not extended, will expire in November this year, Bulgaria’s Defence Minister Dimitar Stojanov said Monday, in Sarajevo.

Namely, as announced by BiH Defence Ministry, Dimitar Stojanov, Bulgaria’s Defence Minister confirmed to his Bosnian counterpart Sifet Podzic, during an official meeting in Sarajevo, that Bulgaria is ready to continue its participation in any other type of mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Also, as announced, he emphasized the Bulgarian Defence Ministry’s commitment to every kind of cooperation, in terms of collaboration in the education of members of the BiH Armed Forces at academies in Bulgaria and further participation in regional initiatives.

Podzic expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation between the two ministries, stressing that these two ministries have no open or unresolved issues.
