Parishes and monasteries in the Vrhbosna archdiocese have on Sunday, February 19 collected 240,000 Bosnian Marks for the earthquake-affected areas in Syria and Turkey.
The archdiocese treasury will pay the received funds into the account of Caritas BiH, which will then redirect the money to those in need in the two countries mentioned.
According to the provisions of the Vrhbosna Ordinariate, all 155 parishes in the archdiocese, together with the monasteries, were invited on Sunday, February 19, to collect a special collection for the earthquake in Syria and Turkey. In some parishes, this campaign continued for the next two weeks and ended on Sunday, March 5.
Along with financial aid, all parishes and monasteries also prayed for all those who suffered in the devastating earthquake and for all those who were left without loved ones.
