CEC BiH fines 67 political parties in the total amount of 540,200 Bosnian marks

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina held its 11th session on March 14, based on the Report on the audit of the financial statements of political parties for 2020 for violating certain provisions of the Law on Financing Political Parties and the Election Law of BiH, and fined 67 political parties in the total amount of 540,200 Bosnian marks (some € 270,000).

Adopted decisions are not legally binding, an appeal against them can be filed with the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision, the CEC BIH announced.

The fines were imposed for: the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) 54,000 marks, Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDP) – 20,500 marks, Croat Democratic Union 1990 (HDZ 1990) – 21,500 marks, Party of Democratic Progress – 43,000 (PDP), United Srpska (US) – 28,500, Party of Democratic Action (SDA) – 10,500 marks, Croat Democratic Union of BiH (HDZ BiH) – 12,000 marks, Serb Democratic Party (SDS) – 12,000 marks, Democratic Front (DF) – 7,000 marks, Alliance for Better Future (SBB) – 12,500 marks, Platform for Progress (PZP) – 29,000 marks, Our Party (NS) – 16,500 marks, Party for BiH (SBiH) 19,500 marks.
