Chinese Ambassador to BiH, Yi Ping, visited the Ministry of Civil Affairs Wednesday, where he talked with Minister Ankica Gudeljevic regarding the delivery of the vaccine donation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the minister's office said.
Ambassador Ji Ping informed the Minister that the Government of the People's Republic of China had provided 50,000 doses of vaccines for Bosnia.
Minister Gudeljevic confirmed the readiness of the Ministry to implement all activities within its competence as soon as possible and agreed on the sequence of future activities in this regard.
Gudeljevic thanked the Ambassador for the donation, emphasizing the great importance of every dose of the vaccine in the difficult epidemiological situation in which BiH finds itself.
She informed her interlocutor that the first vaccines purchased within the COVAX facility would arrive in BiH on Thursday, namely 23,400 doses of Pfizer and 26,400 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine are expected to land at the Sarajevo International Airport.
