Consumer prices in FBiH rise 0.7 percent in January, annual inflation at 3.5 percent

In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, consumer prices in January 2026 increased by an average of 0.7 percent compared to the previous month.

According to data from the FBiH Bureau of Statistics, the average monthly price increase was recorded in the following categories: housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 1.9 percent; food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.3 percent; alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.5 percent; education by 0.4 percent; health and restaurants and hotels by 0.2 percent each; and communications and recreation and culture by 0.1 percent each.

Prices declined in the categories of clothing and footwear by 0.9 percent; transport by 0.8 percent; other goods and services by 0.2 percent; and furniture, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.1 percent.

In January 2026, compared to January 2025, prices increased by 3.5 percent (annual inflation).
