“He was ordered into detention within the ‘Lutka’ case, as we requested, and both Elez and his attorney have right to appeal to the decision of the Court of BiH,” said prosecutor Durbavko Campara.

The Prosecutor's Office requested the detention over the crimes in the ‘Lutka’ case, which Elez allegedly committed.

Upon his extradition from Serbia, Elez was detained but on the grounds of the crimes that were documented by the Ministry of Interior of Serbia.

Elez stands accused of a series of crimes committed on the territory of East Sarajevo, including mafia murders, extortions, intimidation.

The indictment in the ‘Lutka’ case charges him with organised crime in relation to murders, attempted murders, robberies and other crimes committed in the 2005-2009 period.

He was handed over to Bosnian authorities based on an extradition agreement reached by judicial bodies of BiH and Serbia.
