Becirovic pointed out that he wanted to deepen friendly ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Arab Republic of Egypt. In this context, he emphasized that it is very important for Bosnia to build friendships and alliances on all meridians and parallels and noted the need to strengthen the position of his country in Egypt and the Arab world.

“During the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt led a strong campaign for the establishment of peace, advocating for the initiation of the reconciliation process in BiH and for the comprehensive reconstruction of our country and its political and economic stability,” Becirovic stated.

In a cordial conversation, the BiH Presidency Chair and the President of Egypt stressed that the two countries have good and friendly relations, which has been confirmed many times. They emphasized that they want to strengthen and improve relations between the two countries and that this meeting is an opportunity to intensify bilateral cooperation and overall ties with an emphasis on strengthening economic relations.

The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, said that his country openly supports Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to the European Union.

BiH Presidency Chair Becirovic informed President El-Sisi about the importance of adopting the resolution on July 11 as an international day of remembrance and commemoration of the genocide in Srebrenica committed in 1995.

During the talks in Cairo, the two noted that visits at the highest are very important for the intensification of bilateral cooperation. In this context, Becirovic sent an invitation to El-Sisi for a return visit to Bosnia.
