Legal entities from BiH are exempt from VAT on services such as hotel accommodation, training, advertising, rentals, fuel purchases, toll payments, and truck servicing. The Association said this change was the result of years of advocacy and lobbying.

Amendments to Croatia's VAT Act have abolished the reciprocity requirement for VAT refunds to legal entities from non-EU countries, including BiH. The initiative to remove the reciprocity requirement was launched in 2017, and the Association spent years submitting proposals to the Croatian authorities to ensure the adoption and implementation of this measure.

"This change brings significant savings for companies from BiH, as the VAT refund will reduce costs by 25%, which is the current VAT rate in Croatia. It opens new opportunities for improving business operations and reducing expenses for BiH companies operating in Croatia," the Association said.
