Croatia logs 188 new COVID-19 cases, one death

In the past 24 hours Croatia has registered 188 new cases of coronavirus and one person has died as a consequence amid 1,076 active cases, the national COVID-19 response team reported on Thursday.

There are currently 149 hospitalised patients and 12 of them are on ventilators.

A total of 153 people have recovered over the past 24 hours and 3,525 people are currently self-isolating.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case of the contagion was identified in Croatia, there have been a total of 363,227 people infected with the novel coronavirus, of whom 8,250 have died and 353,901 have recovered, including 125 in the past 24 hours.

To date, a total of 2,287,422 tests have been conducted, including 5,848 in the past 24 hours.

By 28 July, a total of 3,042,701 doses of vaccine had been administered, with 40.2% of the total population or 48.4% of the adult population having been inoculated.

Altogether, 1,632,151 people have received at least one vaccine dose, of whom 1,458,539 have been fully inoculated (1,410,550 persons have received two doses and 47,989 have received the single-dose Jannsen vaccine), which makes up 43.05% of the adult population.
