Croatia has registered 560 new coronavirus cases and 50 COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team reported on Monday.

The number of active cases in the country currently stands at 16,751. Among them are 1,872 infected persons receiving hospital treatment. including 247 who are on ventilators, and 15,861 persons are self-isolating.

A total of 3,703,921 people have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus to date, including 2,875 in the last 24 hours.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in the country, 693,813 people have been registered as having contracted the new virus, of whom 12,375 have died and 664,687 have recovered, including 2,930 in the last 24 hours.

As of 26 December, 4,647,360 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered, with 55.48 per cent of the total population, or 66.12 per cent of the adult population, having been vaccinated. A total of 2,251,603 people have received at least one dose and 2,119,974 of them have been fully vaccinated, which is 62.42 per cent of the adult population.
