Over the last 24 hours, Croatia's health authorities reported 6,310 new cases of Covid, shattering the previous all-time high recorded in December. There were also 32 more Covid-related deaths, the government's official website said on Thursday.
There are currently 25,628 active cases in the country. A total of 1,680 people are in hospital care, including 219 Covid patients placed on ventilators.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in late February 2020, Croatia recorded 483,142 cases of the disease, including a total of 9,364 deaths. There are currently 26,010 people in isolation.
Around 3.6 million vaccine doses have been administered so far. A total of 1,922,763 people have received at least one vaccine shot, which includes slightly more than 1.8 million Croatians who have fully been vaccinated, which is 53.4 percent of Croatia’s 3.3 million adults.
