The Air Tractor aircraft will be based at Mostar Airport, from where they will provide aerial support to firefighters and civil protection services during the fire season.
This is a continuation of last year’s pilot project, which proved successful.
The Air Tractor aircraft, operating from Mostar, intervened in 34 fires during that period. The City of Mostar said this confirmed the importance of such a model for protecting people, property, and the environment.
Air Panonia, whose sister company is Air Tractor d.o.o., stated that after a successful pilot phase, the project is evolving into a serious and permanent operational system for aerial firefighting protection.
