After the announcement that Ledo company is shutting down production in BiH, Biznisinfo web portal received direct confirmation from the company.
“After careful consideration, we have made the decision to close the production facility in Citluk in Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 1 of this year. We expect that this decision will result in the loss of 52 jobs located in BiH and our priority is to provide support to colleagues who are directly affected by this decision,” Ledo company told BiznisInfo.ba.
Products for Bosnia will continue to be produced by our other production locations – said the Ledo Citluk company.
Ledo once belonged to Ivica Todoric's Croatian group Agrokor, from which the Forten Group was later formed. In the spring of 2021, Forten was selling Ledo to the large international group Nomad Foods Limited.
They then signed a sales contract for the frozen food business group, which consists of the companies Ledo Plus d.o.o., Ledo Citluk and Frikom d.o.o. and several smaller affiliated companies. The value of the transaction was € 615 million.
Otherwise, according to BiznisInfo.ba, the company Citluk Ledo d.o.o. had total revenues of 114 million Bosnian marks (around €77 million) and a net profit of 23 million marks (around €12 million).
