Cvijanovic asks for US observers if RS entity holds snap vote

Zeljka Cvijanovic, a member of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s tripartite Presidency and vice‑president of the SNSD, said on Sunday that if extraordinary elections are held in Republika Srpska she wants American observers to monitor the vote. She said the move would help “prevent the kind of manipulation their president experienced in the penultimate presidential election,” according to her comments.

Cvijanovic described the possible snap vote — which she called “imposed and entirely unnecessary” — as a vote against unilateral impositions by the High Representative Christian Schmidt and, in her words, “the continuation of a globalist agenda that has trapped and paralysed Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
She said Republika Srpska’s campaign will be a continuation of its political struggle and insisted the entity can win “even when we must play by their rules.” Cvijanovic framed the request for US observers as a safeguard against alleged outside interference and alleged manipulation.
