Strong winds have hit parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, causing damage and interrupting traffic, and prompting the meteorological services to issue extreme wind warning.
Images from the northern city Banja Luka, Bosnia's second-largest, show the damaging winds taking down the trees on its central streets.
Several cars were damaged but no injuries have been reported.
Meteorological services in the country issued a warning for extreme wind in the whole country throughout Monday that will reach up to 100 km/h speed, except around the Prijedor area in the north, where somewhat lighter wind is expected.
“Potentially the least favourable day of 2020, from the point of meteorology, could happen on Monday, December 28,” meteorologist Nedim Sladic announced a couple of days ago, warning that the wind forecast for the beginning of the week is “impressive.”
