Bosnia's special police conducted searches on several locations Wednesday in connection with six individuals from the Group for Prevention of Misdemeanors and Smuggling of the Indirect Taxation Authority’s (ITA) office in Tuzla, central Bosnia, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) said.
The searches were ordered by the Prosecution from the Organised Crime Department of the BiH Court and they were directed against six individuals suspected of committing the criminal offence of corruption, bribery, and the abuse of office so as not to act in the way they were supposed to when detecting illegal imports of goods into the country, the Prosecution said.
They added that after completing all the activities on the ground, the acting prosecutor will decide on the further course of action.
