The Union of Doctors of Medicine and Dentistry of Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity said Monday they are organizing doctors' protests on Thursday, June 24, at 12 noon in front of the FBiH Government building.
“We are organizing the protests due to the non-adoption of the law which, as we stated earlier, enables our union to remain a social partner in all future negotiations on the status of doctors in the health system. Two weeks ago, we had two days of protests in the hope that the FBiH Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Vesko Drljaca, together with the FBiH Prime Minister, Fadil Novalic, would be convinced of the need to adopt the Law on Representativeness,” the Union said.
They noted that the law has been sitting in the drawers of Minister Drljaca or Prime Minister Novalic's office for months, even though it was completely ready for adoption.
“Unfortunately, nothing has changed in these two weeks and the FBiH Government has not done anything, the Law has not been adopted and sent in the form of a draft to the FBiH Parliament,” said the Union.
According to them, the FBiH government is “losing the meaning of its existence considering that one of the key laws is postponed for who knows how many times.”
