Dodik at rally: They couldn’t put you all in the courtroom, so they put me there
The president of BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, addressed those gathered at a support rally for him on Tuesday, saying that the case against him at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a case against the people of the RS and that he has the full support of neighbouring Serbia.
Dodiks supporters gathered in front of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska on Tuesday, after the Bosnian Serb leader asked them to show support ahead of the verdict which the state court will hand down against him the next day.
“There are 25,000 people here, in case anyone asks. This is one of the largest gatherings in RS in recent times. This is a rally in support of the RS, not of Dodik or anyone else," said Dodik.
He also mentioned Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and thanked him for numerous completed projects, and he sent a message to the EU, saying that "Serbs cannot be bought."
"It has always been morally important to us that Serbia stands behind RS, and we have that support. We are not a disruptive factor. They couldn’t put all of you in the courtroom, so they put me there. I am deeply convinced that they messed up," Dodik said.
He then attacked the opposition, accusing them of being traitors, before turning his criticism toward former U.S. President Joe Biden, claiming that he "promised Muslims a state without Serbs."
