Dodik, who is also the leader of the ruling party in Bosnia’s Serb-majority Republika Srpska (RS) entity, said that this is the most important decoration he ever received.
"I see this as a recognition of my love for Serbia, the Serbian people and the Republika Srpska. What I did here with Vucic to defend and build Serbia and RS in the best way. Serbia has changed, it is stronger, more organized and more powerful,” he said, stressing that “Vucic’s contribution to Serbia is great.”

Dodik said that “Republika Srpska is the result of the people’s fight for freedom.”

He said that he is insulted when someone refers to him as a ‘Bosnian Serb’.

“I am a Serb. I’m not a nationalist, I just love my people and I am committed to the goals of my people, RS and Serbia, which I love, visit and am happy for its successes,” he said, as he reiterated his close cooperation with Vucic.

“I have learned from Vucic and I will continue to do so,” he said.
