It would be possible to mobilise the army of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity again very quickly, the Chairman of BiH’s tripartite Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said as he congratulated the Day of the Army of Republika Srpska on Wednesday.
Dodik congratulated the Day of the Army of Republika Srpska, the wartime army of the RS entity which was unted with the army of the other semi-autonomous entity, the Federation (FBiH), to form Bosnia’s Armed Forces in 2005, to members of the Third Infantry Regiment of the BiH Armed Forces who come from the RS entity.

“The Army of Republika Srpska has achieved all its goals, defended its people,” he said, arguing that are persistently attempts to attribute illegal actions and violations of international rules of war to it.
“It was honourable and left freedom to its people,” Dodik said of the RS Army.
“It would be possible to mobilize the RS army again very quickly,” he added.
Dodik complained about “the arrogance of the international community regarding the issues of Republika Srpska” and noted that “RS does not get a seat in the United Nations.”
“We may not need a seat in the UN, but we need recognition. We are just waiting for the moment when we will achieve that,” he said.
