Milorad Dodik, the President of Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity, announced meetings with “world leaders” in the near future, stressing that Republika Srpska is not isolated and has friends.

“Republika Srpska has never had more friends ready to understand us. The fact that Germany and other countries in that part of the world have a negative stance towards Republika Srpska is nothing new,” Dodik told RTRS, public broadcaster in that part of the country.

The statement comes a day after the German Federal Government announced it would successively end four infrastructural projects in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to the secessionist policy of this entity and its president.

Dodik and a part of Republika Srpska entity leadership is already under the UK and US sanctions, mostly for undermining democratic processes.

However, announcing his meetings, Dodik said that RS is not isolated and have friends in the world.

He announce he would meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban by end of the month, but will also talk to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He expects to meet two more leaders in the near future.

“By the end of the year I will meet with at least two global leaders. In October or November I will travel to China where I will meet with their president, and by the end of the year I will also meet with the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin,” he stressed.
