The President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, signed a decree on the promulgation of amendments that prevent the publication of decisions of the High Representative of the international community in the country in the Official Gazette of the RS entity. Pročitaj više
The amendments to the law were adopted by the National Assembly of the RS on June 21, 2023.

The High Representative Christian Schmidt used his ‘Bonn Powers’ to annul these amendments and stated that they will not come into force.
With this move, Dodik fulfilled what he said he would do, which is that he would not respect the decisions of the High Representative. Dodik argues that Schmidt’s mandate lacks legitimacy.
The international community said that the decisions of RS National Assembly and Dodik regarding the matter are contrary to the Dayton Agreement and unconstitutional.
