Bosnia Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik called the migrants stranded in the country “scum,” criticizing the European Union's policy of selecting educated migrants and allowing them entry into its countries while leaving those that “cannot be cultivated” in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dodik addressed a press conference in the eastern town Srebrenica on Thursday, speaking among other topics about the migrant crisis in the country.

He reiterated that he would not allow the opening of migrant camps in Republika Srpska, Bosnia's Serb-majority entity where he is elected in the State tripartite Presidency as the Serb member.

“We have clear policies, including those on migrants. When we asked that no migrant is allowed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and those that do enter will be deported immediately, they were pretending to be humanitarians. Now, deal with that humanitarian issue. We in RS won't build camps for migrants,” he stressed.

Dodik recalled that the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs will be in Bosnia this week to discuss the migrant crisis with local authorities, adding that one of the topics that are likely to be raised include “the story imposed by the Bosniaks, that migrant camps are open everywhere.”

“I am saying it clear and loud here, I will say it tomorrow too, that's not going to happen in Republika Srpska,” he underlined.

“You are humane and we are not? How are you going to respond to the EU countries that don't want to accept the migrants? What about them, are they democratic? Are they humane?,” Dodik added.

The Serb Presidency member stressed that Europe “produced migrants,” suggesting Europe should also take them all.

“Do not suggest us to park the migrants here as a resource for you who will pick the best among them and leave the scum to us,” he concluded.
