He convened a meeting with the holders of the most important positions in the RS and representatives from the RS in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Tuesday in Banja Luka.

“We also held consultations with the members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, believe me, that most of them expressed their willingness to immediately withdraw to the Republika Srpska if called upon,” Dodik said, citing it as one of the possible scenarios.

Dodik also claims that they are ready for any scenario, because those on the other side, “as vile and corrupt as they are, are inflated with their quasi-power,” once again insulting Christian Schmidt, whose legitimacy in the position of High Representative he does not recognize.

“We are not the ones who will shoot each other with slingshots. But if someone ignores the assessments of the security situation, of course, measures will be taken,” he said, commenting on Schmidt’s earlier announcement of his arrival in Banja Luka.

Referring to his earlier statements about the expulsion of Schmidt from the RS and the actions of the police, Dodik said that it is a matter for the security authorities, how they will use their forces and powers, but that he was informed that it is not possible to secure Schmidt’s presence in Republika Srpska.

“We are protecting the stability and security of the RS, not wanting to use any violence against anyone, not even tourists,” Dodik said, noting that Schmidt is the main generator of instability.

He also commented that the High Representative’s refusal to visit Banja Luka could be useful “from the aspect of his understanding that he is not welcome here.”
