The Netherlands has sent a company of 100 soldiers to Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the peacekeeping mission of the European Union forces (EUFOR), the Ministry of Defense of this country announced Monday.
“The main force of the Marine Unit has just left from Eindhoven Air Base to Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is 100 out of 150 marines. They will be part of EUFOR Althea. The other 50 have already gone to the Balkan country,” the Ministry of Defense said on the X social network.

In December 2004, EUFOR, acting under the mandate of the UN, replaced the stabilization forces of the NATO alliance in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
