Four people injured, two of whom are being treated at the Zenica Cantonal Hospital, as well as several damaged houses in the Zenica neighborhoods of Ljubetovo, Hece and Vranduk, and damage to facades in the city itself, are the balance of last night's earthquake with the epicenter near Zenica, which occurred at 9:43 pm.
According to the information from the Zenica-Doboj Cantonal Civil Protection Administration, after a police investigation was carried out due to damage to two cars, rocks that fell onto the M-17 highway between two tunnels in the settlement Vranduk near Zenica were removed.
So far, five or six houses have been damaged in Ljubetovo, but a complete report is still being made. There was a report of damage to two more houses in the Hece settlement and one house in Vrandukun, said the on-duty officer at Zenica Civil Protection Administration.
Damage to two cars was reported in the fall of rocks on the M-17 highway, due to which traffic was at a complete standstill and directed via an alternative route, the regional road through the Tetovo-Banlozi-Vranduk settlement to Nemila.
The person injured as a result of the landslide in Vranduk, as well as another person who sustained injuries, were kept for treatment at the Zenica Hospital. Two more people, who were helped by the Zenica Emergency Service, were released home.
The epicentre of the earthquake, measuring 4.8 degrees on the Richter scale, was about 13 kilometres north of Zenica and at a depth of nine kilometres.
