The European Commission on Monday proposed that EU countries should ease restrictions on free movement, notably for vaccinated people with digital Covid-19 certificates, gradually and in a coordinated way.

The EC proposes that fully vaccinated persons should be exempt from the obligation to get tested and go into 14-day quarantine after receiving the last vaccine shot. The same applies to persons inoculated with single-shot vaccines.

EU countries may decide on their own to let in persons who have received only one of the two shots after a certain period of time, for example, two to three weeks after receiving the first shot.

Those who have recovered from Covid-19 should be exempt from testing and quarantine 180 days from the date their disease was confirmed.

Persons with a valid negative PCR test not older than 72 hours or an antigen test not older than 48 hours should also be exempt from quarantine.

The EC also proposed that no restrictions should apply to persons from a green zone when traveling to another EU country, state agency Hina reported.
