Bosnian football star Edin Dzeko has become the second top goalscorer above the age of 35 within the UEFA Champions League, with only Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest players of all times, ahead of him.
On Wednesday evening, Dzeko scored two goals for his Inter Milan against Viktoria Plzen, which made the team advance from the group stage to the Champions League knockout stages.
Having been named the MVP by UEFA last evening, Dzeko told media that he is only focused on what comes next.
Dzeko also advanced on the list of the Champions League's all-time top goalscorers, becoming the 33rd player with 28 goals.
After he turned 35, Dzeko scored six goals within this competition and passed Chelsea's Didier Drogba who scored five goals in the same age group.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo managed to score more than Dzeko after turning 35 – 12 so far.
