Eight plead not guilty to human trafficking charges in Tuzla

A plea hearing was held before a preliminary hearing judge at the Cantonal Court in Tuzla in the case against eight defendants charged with the criminal offense of human trafficking.

According to the confirmed indictment of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton, the proceedings are being conducted against Besim Kopic, Miralem Halilovic, Jasmin Modric, Dzevad Pozegic, Semsudin Kadric, Zijad Jagodic, Sulejman Sehic, and Nedim Avdic.

The indictment charges them with the continued criminal offense of human trafficking in connection with the exploitation of two underage girls for prostitution during the period from April 2024 to the end of July 2025.

At today’s hearing, all defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

In accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of the Federation of BiH, the preliminary hearing judge will forward the case to a panel of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla, which will schedule the start of the main trial in the coming period.
