Under the provisions of Bosnia’s Election Law, the campaign period is defined as the time when political entities may legally inform voters and the public about their programs and candidates for the upcoming election.

“The CEC emphasizes that political entities are prohibited from using the media to spread false information that could undermine the integrity of the electoral process or mislead voters. In cases of such violations, the CEC of Bosnia and Herzegovina is authorized to take appropriate action,” the Commission stated.

The CEC has urged political parties, candidates, their supporters, as well as individuals employed or otherwise engaged in the electoral administration, to refrain from making statements that may heighten tensions and to conduct a fair and responsible campaign.
