EU envoy Soreca urges Bosnia’s Prosecutor’s Office to deliver results in fight against corruption and war crimes denial

EU Special Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina Luigi Soreca held a productive meeting with Milanko Kajganic, BiH Chief Prosecutor, praising the Prosecutor’s Office for its central role in combating serious crime and underlining its significance for the country’s progress on the path to European Union membership.
Soreca acknowledged the progress made so far but stressed the need for sustainable results, particularly final convictions in high-level corruption cases.
“The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH is at the forefront of the fight against all forms of serious crime. Its results are also a determining factor in BiH’s progress on the EU path,” Soreca stated.
He also emphasised the importance of intensifying efforts to combat genocide denial and the glorification of war crimes, calling for a more effective response from the judiciary on these issues.
Productive meeting with Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić.

“We continue to support efforts to strengthen the rule of law through reforms that will enhance justice, integrity, and trust in institutions,” Soreca concluded.
