The Prime Minister of Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, Fadil Novalic, received the Commander of European peace-keeping force EUFOR in BiH, Major General Anton Wessely, at the seat of the government in Sarajevo where they discussed the situation in BiH and, in particular, the commitment to Western integration.
“Our effort is to be part of Western integration because it is a security zone. We remain committed to that path,” Prime Minister Novalic said.
Major General Anton Wessely emphasized that EUFOR is a partner to domestic institutions and seeks to enhance cooperation in international relations, which depends on good communication.
“The situation on the global level is just one more reason for closer cooperation,” said the EUFOR commander.
He explained that the increased presence of EUFOR forces in BiH shows its commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its people. At the same time, the Major General pointed out, that EUFOR regularly announces all its activities.
The interlocutors assessed the current cooperation as mutually successful and useful, emphasizing that they are still committed to its expansion and improvement.
